Applying to Canadian Law Schools for September 2017: Worries

I am having a hard time deciding which law schools to apply to. I am applying to UVic, TRU, and Calgary for sure. I am thinking of also applying to Queen's and Dalhousie. My CGPA is a 3.2, L2: 3.5. I am getting my results for my first LSAT in a few days (September LSAT). I am expecting a 158-160. I am also writing the LSAT again in December. I am wondering if with my stats, I may have a possibility of Queen's or Dalhousie or whether I shouldn't waste my money and try for other schools? I'm not too sure on how Canadian law schools rank and what my chances are of getting into various schools/any schools. Any more information/advice would help. Cheers.

I have friends who go to Dalhousie who have gotten in with pretty reasonable marks/ GPA. Dalhousie also ranks lower among the Canadian law schools, so I think it is a littleeasier to get in. I am also applying to UVic and Dal.

I think that with the exception of U of T, and maybe Osgoode, the whole ranking system does not apply to law schools in Canada. However, it is always advisable to go to law school where you want to practice law. Dalhousie, by all means, is a great school and has the ability to provide you with a great legal education.

check out each school Accepted 2016 discussion on it, that would give you some idea how competitive your numbers are. As a suggestion, consider University of Alberta, UoA has purely stat base admission as well as holistic one. The 2016-2017 first-year class profile is available on the Faculty of Law's website. @T.Jam.24 I know that Queens cut off for CGPA is minimum 3.3 unless you have a master's degree and Dalhousie is GPA centred.

@heatherelizabeth UVic is definitely my top choice, I just don't think I'll get in with my stats. PS- I'm writing the LSAT again in December.
