I recommend doing a lot of practice with the "tri" pencil if you are going to use it. Great for bubbling, but I did not like it at all for extended use on the essay.

I stuck with what I was used to - regular yellow ticonderogas. I've used them since primary school, so I was used to the grip and whatnot. I used the same pencils and pencil sharpener while PTing and while testing (both times). Like @bunny1111 said, just make sure you practice with what you're going to use on the test.
