Merit scholarship scams?

Hi all. I've been looking around for outside scholarships to apply to and found four scholarships that all use the exact same language. I'm worried they might be scams, but they're listed on UCLA's page for external scholarships (https://law.ucla.edu/admissions/financial-aid/external-scholarships/).

I've been googling but can't find any more information. Has anyone heard about these scholarships and whether they're legit? I'm just confused because they all use literally the exact.same.words.

    I haven’t looked into any of those specifically but I work for a law firm that gives full scholarships to students going to a local law school, it’s pretty common practice. Not sure why you would think that UCLA is encouraging scholarship “scams”? I would suggest just calling UCLA.
    Also, not sure what the scam there could be. They ask for a writing sample, and then they write your school a check. It’s not asking for your social security or credit card info.
    And those aren’t merit scholarships.

    Why do you think these are scams? I mean if lots of people apply, your chances go down, but it isn't a scam.

    It looks like each law firm had the same web developer and the just copied each site with minimal personalization. They all have the same pop ups, layouts and whatnot.

    Thanks for your thoughts y'all. I guess I was just worried it was a scam since they all had the exact same language -- it seemed really weird that different law firms would have the EXACT same scholarship with EXACT same deadlines etc etc. But good to know that this isn't uncommon. And the web developer thing makes sense!
