Does anyone have a preference to either? I have a hard time with translating vertical setups and am far more inclined to diagram horizontally.

I've started practicing both (timed one way, BR the other). I know that goes against what JY says, but I like having the dexterity to do it both ways.

@DumbHollywoodActor That's a good approach. I'll do the same. DHA ftw!

It depends on the game... If it's a shelf game or a building game with three shelves/floors or less then I like to do it vertically... If it can be interpreted more easily as just a double layer sequencing game then sometimes that can override my decision... I always do days of the week games as horizontal without exception....

I almost always use a horizontal set up. The rare times I will use vertical is if it involves shelves, floors, or cakes. Also, simple in and out games I use a vertical chart. Everything else is horizontal for me.
