Official June LSAT Discussion Thread

Hey guys! Here's the official June LSAT Discussion Thread. Please keep all discussions of the June 2016 LSAT here!

Here's some ground rules, taken from my usual sticky:

We know that everyone will be excited to discuss what was on the June '16 LSAT, but mentioning specifics about the test (e.g., "I got B for question 6" or "the 3rd LG was sequencing") can get both us and you in a lot of trouble with LSAC. Saying that the test was hard/easy without going into detail is okay, but anything more specific is not okay. LSAC monitors this forum.

If you're unsure what may be too specific, feel free to PM me with what you'd like to post.

The only exception is you can say which sections were real or experimental. For example, the LG with "flowers" was experimental. That's okay.

TL;DR: PLEASE don't talk specifics about June's LSAT!

Here's where you can see the current Real/Experimental Sections:
https://7sage.com/discussion/#/discussion/6923/june-2016-lsat-real-experimental-sections-keywords

Have fun discussing!

That's the point! Discussion is made here, the closed link is for the sections that we know about.

    Pretty sure this rcs experimental.
I had two games, one fairly easy and the other above average hard.
    Any thought?

Definitely experimental because I didn't have that.

Honestly not sure what the actual word was. It was the passage that compared blues musicians with another g musician from another society. It was spelled weird so I just made up the closest to what I remember

Admin edit: Edited slightly to abide by rules.

I had an experimental LR...does a question about Brabblers ring bells for anyone?

Basically looking for keywords to identify my experimental. One of the LR sections was devastating, the other 2 were run of the mill LSAT. Are experimental sections sometimes more difficult? (Please say yes)

Ok, so how did you guys feel about the test, did it just seem like the other 70s PTs you had already taken, easier, harder etc?

Will an experimental section of a particular type be the same for everyone?

Not 100% sure, though I've heard of it being different for some on past LSATs.

Lurking this and a few other forum boards gauging people's reactions to the exam today. Although it might be too early to tell, but from what I have read: LG was "run-of-the-mill" for the LSAT. Is that a fair characterization? Trying to tread lightly, but nothing wild?

That's what I am reading too. I am following the TLS thread on this LSAT and people are referring to June's LSAT as a piece of cake. I also read that the LG in Feb LSAT were also nothing out of the ordinary. Could this mean that LSAC will likely tighten the LG and raise the difficulty in the next writing (Sept LSAT)...ahh, that's what I am registered for.

Very run of the mill LG. Makes me so pissed I choked and ran out of time.

I think it was one of the easiest LG sections I've had in the 70s. RC was brutal.

My experimental RC was about computer simulation in UK courtrooms, Musical Iconography (?) and Chem vs. Physics. Don't quite remember the third passage which took me 15 minutes...

LG was very straightforward and definitely the easiest of the 70s, although 76 was pretty easy as well. I finished almost 10 minutes early and had time to check almost every single question.

RC was pretty average difficulty I would say.

I had three LR, one harder than average and two easier than average. I'm guessing one of the easy ones was the experimental.

I didn't think the Feb LG was a piece of cake, I am usually -3 or less on LG & I felt like I had to guess on about 3 or 4 question on one of the games.

    Those with LR,LG,LR,LR,RC format.

has there ever been a raw total of 102? Because I know I've seen 100/101 as normal totals.

    1st LR was 25,Lg was 23, 2nd and 3rd LR were 26, and RC was 27.

Assuming that total is not 102. The 2nd or 3rd LR was experimental for me.

RC was difficult. LG was run of the mill as far as game type but IMO no cake walk.

I thought the LR was pretty standard assuming my suspected experimental was in fact experimental

I feel like our good friends at TLS are kind of an unrepresentative sample

Were the real LR 25 and 26 Q? I had one 25 and 2 26's. One was a lot harder than the other (imho).

@JustinGraham there have been 2 instances of a 102 raw total that I know of: pt 62 and pt 6. Annnnndddd, I just realized I know way too much about this test and have no life. hahahaha

    I had 25 LR/23 LG/26 LR/25 LR/27 RC. There has been one 102 that I recall but this was definitely a 101. Your 25 LR was real.

    @JustinGraham

Same distribution as you. I think the 3rd LR was the worst of all and hoping that was exp. I though the 25 and 1st 26 were standard LR

Pretty sure they make an entire experimental test so at least 2 fake LRs, 1 fake LG and 1 fake RC.
