I am not satisfied with the score I received in September and I have been seeking accommodations for my next exam. While getting all my paperwork together, I realized I missed the deadline for the December exam. Should I give myself more time to study and just reschedule for the Feb exam or attempt both in case? My only concern is not knowing what schools I should apply to if I do not have an accurate score.

I think your decision will largely come down to where your PT scores are as December approaches. Are you consistently scoring where you ultimately hope to score on December? If so, then I would consider taking in December. If not, then I think it makes sense to hold out and take at a later date.
I'm not sure what you mean by "accurate" score?
What I meant by that is a score that reflects my abilities. If I do not get approved for accommodations for February and cannot appeal, then I will have to do my best in standard conditions. I am attempting for a 168-171 range and my last Sep LSAT was at 152 due to anxieties and discomfort in my environment. I was PTing in the 160-165 range.
Ahh ... I see. I think your best bet is to wait until you're consistently scoring a few points above your score goal and then sit for the exam. It seems that many people tend to score a few points less due to test day nerves, and the best way to remedy this is to go in with a PT average such that even a bad day will result in a score you're ok with.
Thank you for the advice, I understand that. The hardest decision is whether I will wait until Feb. I will probably preform better by then, but it is nerve racking not knowing what your scores are before you apply and I don't want to throw money at applications.
You don't have to apply this cycle. I know it sucks, but if it takes another year to get a higher LSAT, get into your goal school, and have the chance at the life you want, then it's probably worth it.
Maybe not a popular opinion but I would go ahead and take Dec and know you can also take Feb (if you don't get the score you want). If at this point you have already registered and paid you may as well take it. On top of that, you should not bank everything on getting granted an accommodation. I obviously know nothing of your particular situation so I am just saying this generally, but less than 50% of anxiety related cases (Even with good documentation) gets approved. The only real guarantee is if you had accommodations on the SAT, GRE or ACT, other than that I would not put all your eggs in that basket (100% not saying it won't happen, I'm just saying not to make it your only option)
@nicholasgeelhood you can still apply for accommodations with late registration. Late registration ends tomorrow just pay the late fees.
As @tanes256 said, if you have your paperwork ready, you can still apply for accommodations for the December test. The Late Registration Accommodation Request deadline is October 25.

I did see that and thank you! But I did register earlier, they would still carry extra fees? I didn’t bother emailing them because their response is 5 days lately.
@nick1996 ok since you have already registered there’s nothing you can do about accommodations because the info has to be submitted at the same time you register. You can try your luck and call to see if you can submit your info if you pay the late registration fee.
@nick1996
You should definitely give them a call and ask.
I’m with a disability specialist now filling out the paperwork and I’m going to email them as well as give them a call. I don’t see why there would be a problem.
They won't accept it for December. I don't get why not if I registered early and have the paperwork before the second deadline. Nevertheless, I will tell the forum how I do if I decide to take the exam in February. I hear accommodations are basically found in unicorn forest.
I wonder about a different test center next time if it's possible to set this up.
@lsatplaylist elaborate? I’m not sure what you are talking about. Feel free to PM as well.
I've heard that sometimes people switch test centers on their next take in hopes of reducing worries and feeling more comfortable.
@lsatplaylist
Sorry, this site is not working well for me. But there may be some valid points to that. I have switched mine from a lesser known university to the University of Michigan wanting to believe that there may be a secret bonus for testing at your school of choice, haha.
I would really think about the likelihood of receiving accommodations for anxiety before delaying. I only say this because I've heard that it's hard to get accommodations once you've scored 150+ without them. That being said, I am also asking for mental health accommodations. I'm not counting on getting them, but I figure it's worth a shot. If your anxiety has been documented for a long period of time and it is significant enough to warrant accommodations, you should try to get them. Feel free to send me a message if you want to talk about this any further.
