Commenting to get this thread on top. I often wonder how other non-native english speakers have done it as well. Mine journey has been kind of similar with high BR scores while kind of significantly lower in my timed ones.

You are very close! I was in the same position a few months back. My BR scores were in the 160s now they are mostly 172 and above. Honestly what worked for me is to continue doing timed tests and a thorough BR. I've i stared seeing improvements afte…
I can relate to this as well. I have been missing out on so many events and by the time I am done studying I am probably not gonna have any friends left haha.
Congrats on the 175
I do this too and it's super frustrating. My problem is that I tend to overthink easy questions thinking there is no way the very obvious answer choice is the right one. I am hoping this gets better with practice. I would love to know other people's…

My very first prep test I scored a 153, and then after about 4 months of self study with power score books I took the official LSAT last June and scored a 164. I then took off from June until the next may. I've been studying s…
This is a good question. I haven’t taken the LSAT yet, but my first PT score wasn’t great. It’d be interesting to know how much you can actually improve though. I’ve read that it’s only 5 or so points but I am hoping this isn’t always the case.
@2ndTimestheCharm hey could you explain on how the Economist is helpful? I’ve seen that too but just don’t know how it would help improve the RC.
Thanks!
@ebby_luna sounds like you are doing the pomodoro technique( studying for 25 mins and taking a 5 min break). I switched it up a bit by studying for 45 mins and giving myself 10-15 min breaks.
I just recently started taking practice tests and honestly it takes me at least 3 days to BR. So I normally take a practice test on Saturday and start BR on Sunday. It's been working so far although I am hoping I will get better/faster at BR as I ta…
I think more than 2 a week is too much. You aren't giving yourself enough time to really understand your weaknesses and wasting prep tests. I normally take a test on Saturday under test like conditions and BR it the next day and practice/review the …
@JuandaSheep haha that's why 7sage is a great place but if you've got any other suggestions on where I can make nerdier friends, I am open to giving it a chance.
Although no one can predict your chances I think you still got a pretty good shot at T14. I am a STEM major as well and 3.49 GPA is actually pretty good considering you are a physics major. One of my friends got in to University of Virginia this yea…
Can someone please explain to me what drilling and foolproofing strategies are? I noticed they are mentioned quite a bit on discussion boards
Thank you.
I would really try to understand the concepts first and not worry about doing timed questions at this time point. Once you get comfortable you will start seeing the patterns. Then I would start timing.
This has helped me not to panic too much when…

I think it’s definitely important to budget time away from the LSAT to maintain your mental health. I studied while working full time. So I made sure to set aside 1 week night per week that…

Absolutely. It’s a high stakes entrance exam so expect that studying for it brings out both the best and worst in people.
