It can help but 3-4 tests a normal day and 1-2 if you're tired is stooopid hard and taxing. However there is a solid value in retaking testsin my opinion.

As @Pacifico said, skip around, don't save all the newest tests for last. Also, not everyone thinks the newertests are more difficult. I didn't find them to be any harder than the earlier ones, it could be the same for you.
