I'd probably take Albany because it is cheaper, but I would also probably retake or negotiate until I got full tuition at one. Half tuition and cost of living is a whole lot of debt to pay off without biglaw.

Not sure if it’s too late but biglaw at either of those schools is worse than a coin flip. If you’re set on LA and you want biglaw you might do better with UCLA, USC, Loyola, or another California school.
But it isn't $60,000 better. At either school there is a pretty high chance you miss BigLaw despite your best efforts. In case that happens, you want to minimize your debt.
