I've received four emails from schools already, and every one of them has volunteered an application feewaiver. I think a lot of whether or not they're willing to waive the fee has to do with your competitiveness as an applicant.

Are you less likely to receive a feewaiver if you've already started filling out a school's application? Now that applications are starting to open up, I'm wondering if it makes sense to wait/email admissions before diving in.
