Most schools will take a Feb LSAT. Even NYU and Columbia will take it (even though they say they don't) as long as you just email them by Jan1 for approval.

I'd stay clear of partisan politics, i.e., charged statements about Trump's immigration rhetoric. The topic of immigration/refugee status shouldn't be an issue though and I think makes for a great Ps topic.
So Columbia will start accepting GRE in the next cycle (2018-2019 cycle), correct? At the end of this cycle, we will know how many got accepted to HLS using GRE....
