Am I allowed to ask a professor for a letter of rec now and then apply to law schools in the next 2-3 years? Will LSAC still keep that rec? And will that rec still be fresh for Law School Admission Officers?

I read the guides but this admission cycle is not normal. I am still waiting on 7 decisions, all of which I am really interested in attending. Should I send an LOCI? Or stick it out?

Hards: 176 Lsat, 3.98 GPA
Softs: 1 year working for a lawyer, plus a separate summer internship for a NY supreme ...

I know this is well in advance of the time; however, I was just wondering if I could in theory submit a letter of recommendation for an application for admission for the Fall 2025 semester right now and have the letter dated for that time. Thanks!
