I was in the same boat. I decided to save preptest 40-80 for testing. Will do 5 from the 40s, 50s, 60s,70s,and 80s and save the other half in case I need to retake in December. I figure having 40 preptests will be more then enough.

To prep for June I've been doing the 60s70s and 80s PTs in a randomized order so I don't get too comfortable with any series of PTs and get a good spread of more and less recent ones every week, two a week.
You can use older PTs for drills. And do some 60s,70s,80s. When you don't feel confident with your fundamentals, use older PTs to practice. They're more cookie cutter and they can help you see the pattern more easily.
/It may be a decent indicator, but what's the point? Are you all out of fresh exams? Unless you've finished all the the exams in the 60s70s and 80s I would probably opt for a new exam over retaking an old one personally.
