A meaningful "WhyX" statement. Something more than writing about interesting stuff that's on the website. A compelling reason for being accepted and attending.

Should you visit the school before applying so you can write a solid whyX essay? Do this for each school? Just for your top choice? Just for reach schools?
I didn't talk about law. I guess it's tangential, though. It was about painting a picture of who I am and crafting a compelling enough narrative. For a couple schools, I wrote maybe one or two sentences at the end about whyx fits.
What does this mean: "However, in each of the other 2 school LSAC applications, there are specific questions that lead to a "WhyX" essay (and an additional "What ties do you have to the area" essay)."?
