This question is similar to a Strengthen/Weaken question. The correct answer will help defend the position of the representative of the private company in Passage A against the rules in Passage B.

In particular, Rule 5 of Passage B prohibits the commercial sale of UCH. This would prohibit the private company’s plan to sell some gold coins they might discover in the shipwreck. What answer will help us argue that the company should be allowed to sell the coins?

Note that this question is not exactly the same as a Strengthen/Weaken question, because we don’t have to accept each statement as true. Ordinarily, in a Strengthen/Weaken question, we accept the answers as true no matter how unlikely or unreasonable they are. Here, however, we are instead asked for the “most appropriate response.” That means if an answer says something that is unreasonable or anti-supported by the passages, that answer isn’t “appropriate.”
