Frequently Asked Questions
How do you select your tutors?
We auditioned hundreds of 99th-percentile LSAT tutors and chose the very best—then trained them to make them even better.
What happens after I sign up for tutoring?
After you purchase tutoring, we’ll send you an email with a link to a survey. We’ll also ask you to take a diagnostic exam if you’ve never taken a PrepTest on 7Sage’s platform.
We’ll use your survey responses and diagnostic exam to draft a study plan and match you with a tutor. Your tutor will reach out to you within 48 hours to schedule your free, 30-minute intake session.
What are the sessions like?
7Sage tutors are coaches, not just explainers. Each session is focused on a clear goal tailored to your needs and progress. We’ll work on foundational principles, timing, or test tactics before assigning homework and setting the agenda for the coming week. We don’t just help you improve during our sessions: we maximize the time you spend studying on your own.
How do the sessions work?
We conduct all of our tutoring sessions over Zoom. You can choose if you want the camera on or off.
Do you offer payment plans?
7Sage is pleased to offer affordable payment plans for our 10-session, 20-session, and 30-session LSAT Tutoring packages.
Here's how it works: we split the purchase price into three monthly payments (for 10-session packages) or six payments (for 20-session and 30-session packages). You pay the first today, and then we will reach out once a month to remind you to make your next monthly payment until you're paid up.
That's it! No interest, no shady terms, and no third-party companies you have to deal with.
Note: once you buy, you are obligated to complete all the payments.

What’s your refund policy?
For tutoring, if you’ve used one hour or less of your time, we’ll give you a full refund within 14 days of your purchase.

They Really Like Us 😊
Take a look at these reviews from our clients:
I had very high expectations going into 7Sage’s LSAT tutoring. Said expectations were exceeded.
Sam
Scott was very invested in my success and continued growth. He provided detailed analytics and specific feedback based on my practice tests and trends we saw in my performance. A tutor is not a substitute for tenacity and hard work, but Scott helped me identify my weaknesses and make my long hours of individual studying as productive as they could’ve been.
Lily
Friends and family all know the LSAT is hard, but they couldn’t relate to and support me in my LSAT journey like 7Sage did

Raphael Piliero
Tutor | 180
Raphael was motivated to become an LSAT tutor when he saw firsthand the ways that learning logic can change how one thinks and approaches the world—and that the test can be made fun in the process! A self-described LSAT fanatic, Raphael took over 9,000 LSAT questions across several months of study prior to his exam. He decided to return as a tutor to help students reach their potential by inculcating an appreciation for logic, critical thinking, and the joy of solving curve-breaker “miscellaneous" logic games. When not thinking about the LSAT, Raphael enjoys playing speed chess and avidly watching baseball.

Soni has come to view studying for the LSAT like learning a new language. Like any language, she strongly believes that the LSAT is learnable. After studying for the LSAT unsuccessfully for months, she finally reached fluency once 7Sage helped her to become familiar and confident with the test material. She hopes to help her students do the same as they embark on their LSAT journey. In her free time, Soni can be found in the pottery studio, taking photos, or traveling.

Beau developed a great respect and appreciation for the LSAT during his own journey with the exam, which was aided greatly by 7Sage. He found scrutinizing arguments and deciphering Logic Games to be quite enjoyable, and the tangible growth that accompanies constant practice to be quite rewarding. Recognizing that the process is not all fun and games, however, Beau became an LSAT tutor to help students learn to get the most enjoyment out of their study time and the best possible performance out of themselves. In his spare time, Beau enjoys playing tennis, getting overly invested in fantasy football, playing board games, and walking the Green Belt near his home in Austin, Texas

Like any difficult journey, the LSAT goes better with a little extra help on your side. Getting a top score took a lot of hard work, but as he studied for the LSAT, Elias found that having an experienced friend in his corner to talk him through it made a huge difference in his results. Now he hopes to pay it forward and help others reach their goal score by showing them that the LSAT plays by rules that can be learned and overcome. In his off hours, he likes to spend his time writing, visiting local parks and gardens, caring for his bonsai tree, and admiring his friends’ pets.

With several practice tests taken and no score progress to show for it, Tad’s LSAT journey had a discouraging start. Discovering 7Sage breathed new life into his learning process by providing clear explanations of important LSAT concepts, a roadmap for studying, and amazing tools for growth, like blind review. When working with students, Tad emphasizes mastering the fundamentals underlying the test rather than trying to rely on gimmicks and encourages his students to grow in their confidence by creating a comfortable learning environment. Henry Farnum
Tutor | 180
Henry had to learn to enjoy studying for the LSAT, and counting incremental improvements as little wins helped him maintain motivation through the sometimes grueling process. He used 7Sage, over a 6-month study period, to improve his diagnostic score by more than 20 points. As a tutor, he believes that any student willing to put in the work can develop an intuitive relationship with the test and achieve their ideal score. When he’s not teaching the LSAT, Henry enjoys reading, going for walks with his girlfriend, and watching Hugh Grant act. Or, to be more precise, when he’s not watching Hugh Grant movies, he enjoys teaching the LSAT.

Tutoring seemed like a great way to help others have the best experience possible as they try to reach their LSAT goals. Off the clock, Matthew enjoys traveling (more accurately, daydreaming of traveling places), trying new foods, and following the NBA.

Ardaschir Arguelles
Tutor | 180
Ardaschir’s initial approach to Logic Games involved a good deal of crossing his fingers and hoping for the best. While studying for the LSAT in earnest, he took a practice test every week and in so doing found himself developing a personal language for Logic Games and Logical Reasoning that allowed him to get the better of the test. He sees that as the goal of the tutoring process—to become familiar enough with the test that the concepts become instinctive, things you can formulate to yourself in terms you understand. That process takes time and effort, but with the right guidance it can also be enjoyable and fulfilling.

Dylan Estrin Rosoff
Tutor | 180
Dylan heard about 7Sage halfway through the process of studying for the LSAT from a friend. After feeling like he had not quite mastered the fundamentals of the test, he decided to give it a try. 7Sage ended up being incredibly helpful to him in his LSAT journey as he made consistent progress up from his diagnostic score and developed the skills that enabled him to excel at the test. He is excited to become a part of students’ own journeys as he works with them to develop these skills.
Outside of being a tutor, Dylan recently graduated from Cornell University and majored in Industrial and Labor Relations. He is interested in researching how people respond to artificial intelligence at work and sees himself going to law school in the future to study labor and employment law. In general, he loves hiking and nature, playing video games, cooking, and listening to music. -

Samuel Bunn
Tutor | 180
Sam started his LSAT journey while working full-time and found slow and steady progress through the Core Curriculum of 7Sage. As he reached a plateau, he switched to frequent practice tests and leaned heavily on the analytics to help identify areas of challenge. Sam’s experience taught him that the LSAT is a learnable test and that the biggest factor in eventual score improvement was his own outlook and mental health. He cannot wait to help students reach the upper echelons of the LSAT and is especially excited to work with fellow Pacific Northwesterners interested in pursuing law.
When not demystifying the LSAT, Sam can be found reading mystery novels, climbing rocks, and keenly following the latest escapades of the Boston Red Sox.

She enjoys working with students of all levels, whether they want to work on their fundamentals at the beginning of their LSAT journey or refine their strategy to get those last few points to a 180. When she isn’t teaching the LSAT, Deirdre enjoys fostering kittens and playing badminton.

Josh Soifer
Tutor | 180
Josh’s experience with standardized tests started when he wrote the admissions test for the University of Oxford. That test incorporates a critical thinking section that directly parallels the LSAT’s Logical Reasoning section. His success on that test led to a three-year position tutoring Oxford applicants who were preparing for that test while he completed his undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. He enjoys helping students learn how to break complicated questions down into smaller, more approachable sections that can be understood quickly and efficiently. When not tutoring, Josh enjoys playing basketball, soccer, chess, and any other sport he can find.

Alex Rasmussen
Tutor | 179
After a rewarding legal internship with an environmental nonprofit, Alex decided to begin his LSAT journey and soon found the exam highly engaging and learnable. After months of studying introductory workbooks, he decided to begin the 7Sage lesson plan and made the most progress through live classes and targeted question drilling. He found that the most effective strategy for him was to treat Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension the same way he treated Logic Games, and realized that a study process heavily reliant on translation and stimulus annotation helped him the most in improving LR and RC. Alex found the online community kind, accepting, and oftentimes funny: a quality he really came to enjoy in the face of LSAT study stress. Alex likes to listen to music, watch Netflix, and occasionally read.

When Zaiboon first began preparing for the LSAT, she knew it would be challenging—what came as a surprise was how enjoyable and rewarding the process would become. She quickly realized that improving her score required training herself to think differently, and she became deeply invested in developing a comprehensive understanding of every question she encountered. 7Sage was invaluable during this process because it didn't simply point out the correct answer—it taught her how to find it herself. As she learned to see the logic in the exam, she began to find it deeply fulfilling.
As an LSAT tutor, Zaiboon hopes to help students develop this skill and empower them to discover the correct answers on their own. She believes with enough time, practice, and discipline, the LSAT can be learnable, conquerable, and even enjoyable. Zaiboon recently completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto and was accepted to Harvard Law School through its Junior Deferral Program. Ryan has taught the LSAT for the last six years. He graduated summa cum laude from Texas State University, studying psychology and geology. Geology has come up on the LSAT a few times, and the extra knowledge in the subject always made those questions and passages easier.

His favorite part of teaching the LSAT is the students who reach out and tell him they got huge scholarships to their dream schools. Matthew Sorrels

When Matthew began studying for the LSAT, he saw the test as a means to an end—he’d think about the LSAT long enough to achieve his goal score and then forget the test existed. In the process of completing 7Sage’s curriculum and sharpening his LSAT skills, however, he grew fond of the test. Logical Reasoning questions gave him the opportunity to pulverize strangers’ arguments, and Reading Comprehension passages introduced him to new, interesting topics. He studied with 7Sage for over a year, and by the time he finished his journey with the LSAT, he thoroughly enjoyed the test and its many quirks. As a tutor, he loves being able to assist others in grasping concepts that once seemed foreign to him and to continue engaging with the test that he’s grown to appreciate.

Andrew Colford
Tutor 170V/169Q
With a 99th-percentile score (170 on Verbal and 169 on Quant), Andrew knows a thing or two about the GRE. But just scoring well on an exam doesn't make a good instructor. A decade of test prep experience does. Andrew was born and raised in the California Bay Area and graduated from Georgetown's School of Foreign Service. He lived in New York City, where he became an in-demand tutor for SAT and ACT prep at some of Manhattan's top high schools. He then transitioned into working with grad school applicants on the GRE/GMAT. Now based in LA with his wife and Jackhuahua (Jack Russell-Chihuahua), Andrew has become a SoCal cliché . . . taking hikes, bumming at the beach, and getting stuck in traffic.
Andrew has taught the GRE in person, online, and on campuses such as USC, UC San Diego, and CSU Northridge. He loves helping students reach their highest potential and conquer their fears!
