You have to log out and back in after making the change for you to see it. Others will see it within 5min.
Are you referring to the name that is displayed for all to see?
If so, go to the top right corner. However your mouse over your current display name, click "settings." On the top left, you'll see your current display name. Change it, and save your settings.
