Exactly as the title states.
In such case, do I have to inform the school by email that I will be taking the Jan Lsat and wish to be put on hold or is the application automatically put on hold?
Thanks!

Email them to be sure; schools have different polices on this. Most will hold but some will not.
If the school states that they will receive Jan lsat or indicate future lsat that one will be taking, does that mean it will be an automatic hold??
I think it varies from school to school. They usually have the info on their website or in the introduction section of their LSAC application. I recall the application asking whether you will be talking a future LSAT. If not, you should email them and tell them to put your file on hold until the new score comes in. Hope it helps!
