    It is definitely to your benefit to drill the crap out of conditionals and get super comfortable translating text into lawgic! Questions like these become much more easy :)

    Once you translate the premises, this is what you get:

    chordate ------> tracheophytes

    Pteropsida ----> tracheophytes --------> chordate

    Conclusion is:

    Pteropsida ----> homindae

    In order to "fit" the premises and the conclusion together, you need to tack on the last bit of conditional logic to the end of the premises, which would be

    chordate --------> homindae

    OR

    homindate -------> chordate
