Because the photographers submitted more works per artist.
Photographer 1- 10 submissions - 5 met criteria and were selected
Photographer 2 - 10 submissions - 5 met criteria and were selected
Sculptor 1 - 2 submissions - 1 met criteria and was selected
Sculptor 2 - 2 submissions - 1 met criteria and was selected
Painter 1 - 2 submissions - 1 met criteria and was selected
Painter 2 - 2 submissions - 1 met criteria and was selected
Equal number of artists submitting work, disparate number of submissions. Allows for more photography without there being a bias... in this example you have 10 examples of photography and 2 each of sculpture/paintings ultimately being accepted, but it's still proportional to the volume of work submitted.
