Took October LSAT for the first time and scored seven points below my usual score. I didn't have accommodations for the October test but I do for November. My confidence has taken a nose dive and I'm really unsure about how well I'll do on the November test.

My goal was to have apps done by end of November. Would January be considered too late for priority admission? Is there anything else I can do?? I've always been bad at standardized tests and got an ADHD diagnosis as an adult. I do work full-time which has historically gotten in the way of my studying. Feeling hopeless :/

Don't feel hopeless! I'm in a similar boat as you and I know many others are as well. Focus solely on getting yourself comfortable for the November test. After you finish, prepare your applications to submit at the end of November when the score is released. THEN you can evaluate what you want to do next. You can submit with your Nov score if you feel good enough about it and always take again in January if you feel you can make a substantial improvement and get off some waitlists that you are put on. You have many options! I've been worried about this exact situation but have to just focus on NOV first, prepare applications, and evaluate once score is released. You got this! Don't lose faith!

I just wanted to say good luck and that you got this! I've been feeling the same way, your situation is nearly identical with what happened with me on this Oct test and I was having these exact same worries on whether I should take wait for January, but I ultimately do think that the gamble is a big one if we decide to do January. I hope everything goes well for you!

It's too early for you to be considering this when you have not taken the November LSAT yet.

Take it, and see how you feel about it. When I take a prep text with accommodations time, I always do like 5 points better at least.

If you take it, and still feel you may have done poorly, then consider taking the January LSAT. However, rember you still can't guarantee a better score in January....plus your applications will be later.

I feel like the best course of action would be to apply as soon as your November LSAT scores are in. Otherwise they will be later, but only possibly with a better score. So you would be trading the actual benefits of an earlier app for hypothetical benefits.

Does that make sense? Potentially if you wait, you could be turning in a late January app with a score that's not even improved.
