I will be taking my first LSAT in January, having said that, I have not done the argumentative writing part of the LSAT (opens December 30, 2025). What would you all recommend? should I do the writing before the LSATS or can I take it after my test (2, 3 days after test).
I personally want to take it after the LSAT, but I don't know if its a good idea to take it after. Would taking it after will delay my LSAT results? I am planing to take it within 2,3 days after my LSAT (if i go this route).
I want to apply to schools, the day of the results lol. If taking it after the results would delay the results, please let me know and help me out.
I am first gen and don't know who to ask.

I wouldn't sweat it lol. I took the Feb LSAT earlier this year and took my writing section like 2 weeks after cuz i kept putting it off. Still got my scores on time
Hi, I took the October LSAT on a Saturday and took the Argumentative Writing on the Monday after. There were no issues at all and my sample was approved the day after. That said, I did make sure to read the instructions very clearly, and emptied my room of anything that might be flagged during the room video tour. Best of luck!
Hi! i took mine 2 days after my test and there was no delay in my result. I just didn't want to waste any mental energy before the actual test, but I know someone people like to get it out of the way.
Hello! As someone who took my first LSAT in November, I advise taking the Argumentative Writing section before your test. It takes up an hour of your time, and it will feel so good after your test that you are done with it. I hope that helps, and wishing you great luck on the January LSAT!
