😖 Frustrated

first denial

Just received my first denial from a target school (UNT Dallas). Not really sure what to do as my LSAT is pretty low (148), but I thought my GPA (3.5) and experiences could maybe balance out. Does anyone have any advice or think I will even get accepted anywhere?

yeah i got waitlisted because of that score (fall 2025) and never made it off. I suspect it was primarily my uni grades that kept me from getting completely rejected (grad 2024 w great distinction). I wrote the LSAT again this past jan and expanded my applications. Good luck my guy. You should take the lsat again and bump it up even if only a handful of points as it seems law schools like to see improvement and they don't frown at someone trying to do better

I just got rejected from my first school with a 146 LSAT while also being well above their avg GPA, I get it. Luckily all it takes is one. We got this!

Yes you can get accepted into schools with a low lsat score, I scored a 147 and have a 3.21 gpa. I have gotten accepted to 3 schools so far all with some sort of scholarship ( schools where I am below the median) . I'll say to literally put blood and tears into your personal statement, resume, & DO THE OPTIONAL ESSAYS AND ADDENDAS !!!

Remember with having a low LSAT score we have to prove that we are capable to excel in Law school and showcase we can do the work !

Understandable to be feeling a little down. Congrats on getting to the application process in the first place. Do not give up hope. Keep applying and keep your head up.

I definitely understand how you feel as I was denied from a few places last year. It really shot my confidence levels down, especially because I typically do well academically. However, here I am again retaking the lsat and going through my personal statement again. Keep trying, keep pushing, it may take some time and a lot of NO's, but don't give up. All it takes is ONE yes. :) give yourself some grace because not everyone has the dedication to go to law school and the processes it takes to get into law school

Don't worry the process of applications can be a long game, just keep going! And if you have to apply again that's totally fine too. But it may work out for you this round, don't give up because of one no. You may still get a yes from a bunch of other places. You got this!
