Most true ADHD qualified doctors will refuse to diagnose ADHD online, especially if you do not have a history of the disorder. It requires many tests that should be done in person. It is a really expensive process and you are not guaranteed to get a diagnosis. That's why many people go undiagnosed because they cannot afford to get tested. If you want to do it the right way and you truly think you could benefit from testing, I would look up a local specialist and invest, but if you don't have the disorder, it could be a waste of time and money.

@CameronBarnett He clearly doesn't care about getting diagnosed. He just wants the "ADHD slip." Offensive for people that actually struggle with this disorder.

@KateA Oh okay, I didn't know that was a thing. I thought he might just be misinformed. I've seen a lot of people complaining about people with accommodations online. I hope it doesn't get harder for those who need them in the future because of this.

@CameronBarnett Yeah, in some places it's easier to get accommodations than others. In middle school I had to travel to another state to receive my written request for a 504 plan. My state refused to give me accommodations up until that, even though I have been diagnosed and medicated since I was 8.... So your OG comment was correct. Sorry I get really passionate about this because I hate to see people trying to cheat a system that was set up for people with disabilities.

Totally get the frustration of feeling stuck...test prep is brutal. That said, posts like this make it harder for people who genuinely need accommodations to be taken seriously. The process is already an uphill battle without the perception that people can game the system.

If you're hitting a wall, it might be worth stepping away for a bit and leaning into something you enjoy. Letting yourself subconscious process in the background can lead to some breakthroughs, and coming back fresh does more for your score than grinding through burnout.

That said, if you genuinely believe that you need assistance, there are more effective channels to accomplish that. It might be in your best interest to delete this post.

Wishing everyone here good luck in a way that doesn't come at someone else's expense 💙

If you think you need treatment (for anything), seek treatment (independently).

@JohnLanza As someone with experience, I wouldn't recommend doing it this way

@JohnLanza So your question is to try and cheat the system? This is why I get hated on for actually having accommodations and diagnosed with ADHD by multiple real doctors, is because of people like you.
