It’s nice to know I’m not alone in this. I’m taking my third LSAT in two months. My last score was a 146. I’ve been doing five-question drills whenever I can fit them into my day. I went through all of the easiest Logical Reasoning drill questions and was getting around 80% correct until I ran out. Then I moved on to the easier questions and finished those at about 80% as well. Now I’m working through the medium-level questions, and I have about 500 drill questions left. So far, I’m getting around 40-60% correct, but I think the repetition alone is helping build my confidence. You'd be surprised how many you can get through by just sittin on the toilet. I’m not sure if all of this will get me to my goal of 155, but I’m trying my best. I’m pushing 40, and all I need is a 155 to get into the regional law school near my home. Fingers crossed.

My first time, I got a similar score, and since I began studying again the year after, I improved immensely. I think the most important thing is determining what's going wrong. For me, I tried self-studying. I would use various materials, such as books and free LSAT prep modules. But I have ADHD, and I learned that studying by myself is very ineffective. What helped me was doing a prep course with official instructors and having live lessons. I used BluePrint's Live course. I was able to gain a firm understanding of the exam and its question types, which I didn't have before. It also helped with making sure I was consistent with studying and learning the material. My first time, I drilled and drilled and nothing improved. I would highly recommend doing some sort of guided course if you can. It was definitely the reason I was able to break out of my original score.

What's really helped me is working for a period of time on just understanding the author's argument without stressing about timing. I think that once you improve how fast you can grasp the argument and the structure of the argument the faster you can get at answering the questions under timed conditions. Also wrong answer journaling to really understand the kind of mindset you need to have when you go into answering a question ( are you being asked to bridge the gap from premise(s) to conclusion, find what weakens or strengthens the argument, etc).

You have 3 months to improve so don't let the anxiety get into you, be patient with yourself. If you are at 148, I think maybe your foundation knowledge isn't completely strong yet. You might want to focus on accuracy first, I think as your accuracy increase, it will take less cognitive strength for your brain to process the questions, which will allowed you to do it faster. Then you can focus on time. Maybe try untimed drill more and add in some timed drill after. I'm still struggling with timing but I noticed when I'm not under time constraint, it's way easier for me to understand the questions so I'm trying to give myself grace to catch up with that (otherwise I would just feel discouraging to even practice more haha). I think what worked for me personally is a mix between my weakness and a lot of drillings (like a lot of drilling haha), and a lot of reviewing why I chose the wrong questions so I can avoid in the future. I think my understanding increase significantly when I understood why each answer is wrong, so I also suggest try to think why the other answers are wrong instead of focus solely on why the correct answer is right. Hope this helps! I will also take the test in August so I hope we both will do well!

Same boat. Planning to take for the fourth time in august now. Not really telling anyone because it feels a little embarrassing on my part, but it's okay it's part of the process. Let's keep moving forward. I've watched tons of podcasts and what I find helps in my free time instead of scrolling or doing useless things is watching shows with real lawyers bc it really helps to keep pushing me to be in that space one day. You got this !!! Consistency is key.

I am in the same situation as you. I will be taking it for a third time at the end of the year. My highest score is a 146. I even paid over $2k for a class that was supposed to guarantee 170 or higher. So, you are not alone. You got this!

I spoke with a friend of mine who said the best way to improve is just repetition. Continue to do practice questions, and shoot for a full practice exam once a week. When you do the practice exam set everything up as if it is the real thing. Take the breaks the same way, have the room set up the same, go to sleep early the night before and even eat the same meal you would as if it was test day. Find out what works the best and gets you the highest score and repeat that every time up to and including test day. I hope this helps you out and you knock it out of the park on this go around, good luck!

Hey don't be so hard on yourself! I am taking it for a fourth time and my highest so far is a 149. You are definitely not alone. If you'd like, you can DM me and we can study together or exchange ideas about studying/drilling.
