I do not recommend taking the LSAT remotely
I want to share my experience so others can be informed before deciding. Even though I have a very stable internet connection, the remote system had multiple issues throughout the entire process.
ProctorU allowed me to log in, but when moving to another section, it would get stuck in waiting mode.
I had to log out and back in several times.
I had to repeat the initial inspection process four times.
I started at 8:30 a.m. and didn’t finish until 1:45 p.m. because of the constant technical problems.
All of this affects your focus, creates anxiety, and completely throws off your rhythm during the exam.
My advice: if possible, take the exam at an authorized test center. The experience is much more stable and avoids interruptions that can negatively impact your performance.

I also had a similar issue. When I tried to start the second section I was told an error had occurred and I had to exit and log back in. I proceeded to do this for 6 hours, each time doing the screening before being told there was a technical issue and I had to try again. On the last few attempts they could not even connect me with a proctor. I was never able to get access to the rest of my test and had to request a retest. Unfortunately online is the only option for many if nearby test centers cannot provide their accommodations.
I had a very similar experience 4/9 - no issues until after the break, and then couldn’t get back in. Did the screening process 5 times, multiple log in and log outs, and then no one answering me in the chat - it was infuriating. I was really in a groove so it was beyond frustrating.
I took mine remote Saturday. Although I had fast stable fiber internet connection, I got disconnected 3-4 times. Each time I got disconnected, I had to go through check-in again.
I took it remotely last year and when I was on my third section there was a blip in my wifi so my score got cancelled! I won't be testing remotely again.
LSAT remote is horrible.
I took mine remotely today, no issues! It went smoothly in my case.
Edit: I do not mean to discount OP's experience. I am sorry that it was difficult. I want to share my experience to put a balanced perspective out there.
Same I took it on Saturday with no issues. Really sorry that happened to OP and hope they'll let them retest!
They are taking it away anyways
second that. i took remote and was kicked out so much LSAT cancelled my score. lost an attempt for something that wasn't my fault
@Hannah2026 did you file a complaint to try to get a retest? wondering because I'm waiting to hear back
I WAS NOT ABLE TO START MY EXAM AT ALL TODAY. IT WAS SCHEDULED FOR 12PM. AT 11AM, NO ONE WAS THERE TO RECEIVE ME. FROM 12PM-3PM I UNDERWENT SO MANY SECURITY TESTS -- VIEWS OF THE BACKSIDE FRONT SIDE CORNERS EVERYTHING IN MY TESTING LOCATION but nooo.....
Furthest I got was to LawHub log in. Logged-in, no LSAT to take. Was asked to log out again and log back in. Then, couldn't log back in at all
FILED A COMPLAINT TO LSAC AND PROMETRIC HOPEFULLY I CAN RETAKE
@baybunny408 Ugh I'm so sorry to hear that.... P.S. best username I've seen yet
@Stas1973 Thank you <3
UPDATE: finally got a response from LSAC to confirm exam reschedule with Prometric for April 21. No word from Prometric yet tho
@baybunny408 Ok I’m glad it worked out!! You’ve got this
taking it remotely is horrible Engllsh is limited and tech problems galore
@bilingualspeechpath107 the english was very very limited.
I second this. You can only take the LSAT 7 times in a whole life time. I wasted an attempt and had many problems at home (loud neighbor, proctor couldn't get my test to load again after the break, had to re log back in and it took an extra 40 minutes, ect) Taking it at the testing center was a great experience.
Oh good Lord, I'm so sorry that happened. Well, I'm glad you were able to finish and I will keep this in mind when I register lol
