I'm trying to decide if I should schedule my lsat online or in person. I want to take it in person bc I feel like that professional environment would help me lock in better/less complications overall. However, I can't focus if I hear anyone talk; I get distracted so easily. Do the noise cancelling headphones do anything/did you hear people talk?

I hated my online LSAT experiences. Twice an accidental keystroke during security check when I was moving my laptop around to show them the room shut down Prometric and I wasn't able to continue the test. (Which is why I've chosen to retake at a center.) Also I had an issue once where it reconnected me with a proctor after the 10 min break but I couldn't hear them bc of a technical issue so I had to wait forever for them to try to fix it and then connect me to another person. Also some proctors are not trained properly so they might flag issues that aren't legit.

I would think talking is not allowed right? I'm having the same questions so hope we get some wisdom before the scheduling tool closes.

When I took my last one in January I tried the noise cancelling headphones but after a few minutes my head would feel funny and I'd have to take them off. It was constant coughing and clearing of throats, little noises like that. I have to sign up for my June one and I can't decide if I want to risk trying to do it from home or risk dealing with that again.

You can bring your own noise cancelling earplugs
