Hi 7Sage people!
I am looking for a tutor to help me grasp some basic and not so basic concepts. (Geez, that's vague).
I have been self-studying since the end of April and my diagnostic was a 145. My goal is a 165 (am I being delusional?) I also have ADHD so someone who understands how to work with individuals who struggle with reading too fast :) I also work full-time during the week which can make my time limited. I would prefer weekend availability since it is more open but really anytime after 6pm EST works too.
Please help! I feel like an idiot LOL (I have an M.Ed. with a 3.93 GPA but still!)
Thank you and I wish my fellow studiers the best of luck.

Hi Leah,
A September target in the mid-160s is definitely realistic, no matter what the initial diagnostic was.
What you’re describing is usually a signal that the proper top-down structure still isn’t fully in place yet. When that top-down framework is missing, the question-by-question processes, timing decisions, and answer choice analysis techniques all tend to feel scattered and unstable instead of organized and repeatable.
I help students build a stable top-down framework for both sections of the test so that each passage, question type, and answer process starts becoming much more predictable and manageable. From there, we build the specific question-by-question skill sets, answer choice selection techniques, timing processes, and overall test fluency needed to handle the exam with much more control.
And honestly, the “reading too fast” issue can remedied by locking in on the right target. Once you understand what target to look for and how to find it, you can quickly take total control of the passages.
I’d definitely be happy to help you build an organized top-down prep structure, as well as add the needed level of specific processes and techniques, ahead of your September test date. Both weekend and evening sessions are just fine for me.
Feel free to message me if you’d like to talk further and best of luck either way!
