Hi, would you all recommend doing the experimental sections in the PT or skip over for time efficiency? Is there a benefit to this I may not be seeing?

Hello! The 'experimental sections' on the PrepTests are actually just real, previously administered LSAT sections. In other words, the questions in these PT experimental sections are completely as valid as the regular sections. LSAC simply inserted an extra section from a previous test into each PT so you can simulate the true length of exam day.

While it is true that the experimental section on the actual LSAT doesn't count toward your score (and might contain some unusual questions they are testing out), the ones on your PTs are 100% real LSAT questions. Therefore, they're definitely worthy to solve for! And as Altan said, it's better to practice doing four sections to simulate the real exam setting.

I hope this helps, and best of luck!

Definitely do the experimental sections. You will have to take it on the actual test if you don't have certain accommodations, so it's better to get used to it now. It's also extra reps that will be helpful and add to your wrong answer journal. Although experimental sections vary on difficulty, they are all questions that could realistically appear on a test, so it's good to practice them.
