Hi everyone!
I’m taking the August LSAT, and one of the best ways I learn is by teaching and discussing reasoning with others. I thought it would be fun to help someone while sharpening my own understanding before test day.
A little about me:
Diagnostic: 150
Averaging in the low- to mid-170s on recent PTs
Highest PT: 177
Previous teaching experience as a teaching assistant, tutor, and snowboard instructor
I’m looking for 1–3 people currently scoring around 150–165 who are serious about studying and would like to go through a few LR questions together over Zoom. My goal is to help you understand why the right answer is right and why the others are wrong, while also sharing the thought process I use when approaching LR.
The session will be:
Free (the only thing I ask in return is honest feedback afterward so I can continue improving as a teacher)
Around 1 hour
If this sounds helpful, feel free to comment below or send me a DM. Good luck to everyone taking the August LSAT!
Edit: So far, a bunch of people are interested so I likely will host 2-3 sessions with a few people each. If you could comment/ DM your current PT average, the type of questions you are struggling with the most (even better if you have exact PT, section and question number), and your time zone (I am Pacific Time), I can group people accordingly! Thanks :)
Edit 2: Currently have space for people wanting to work on tougher LR questions but otherwise no more space :(. Might do more after I submit my law school apps!
Edit 3: All sessions are now full!

Hey, I am in
Unrelated comment but do you have any pointers for linking turns more confidently on a snowboard as a beginner (1 season, 10-ish days)? I feel like I do ok until I start going faster and then it feels like I'm out of control. Maybe I need to find a slope that is flatter to get the basics down. Sorry if this is totally off topic! And good luck in August :-)
@victimofthebass Hi all good lol! I am assuming you are likely going down a green run. I would suggest finding a terrain similar to getting off the chair lift (slight decline and then relatively flat) to do J turns first (go straight and then toe or heel turn). If you are already pretty confident with your turns, you can do it with both feet strapped in. But if not, you can try what is in this video with one foot unstrapped. Once you are confident you can stop without losing control, then you can move back to the green run and do J turns all the way down. You can do all heel turns or all toe turns first. Once you feel comfortable with your turns independently, you can do straight, heel, straight, toe. And once you are comfortable with that, you can remove the going straight and do heel, toe, heel, toe. Hope that helps and happy to answer any questions. Good luck to you too on LSAT and snowboarding :)

Thank you for offering it sounds mutually beneficial :) I'm currently PTing around 160-165, I struggle the most with Flaw, Necessary Assumption, Sufficient Assumption, Weaken, Causal Reasoning, and Phenomenon Hypothesis type questions, time zone is currently Pacific Daylight Time Zone.
