Hey!
I'm currently studying for the September LSAT and this would be my third retake. As I take more prep tests and timed sections, it's becoming more and more apparent to me that my biggest enemy is panic which leads to me rushing through questions that I can otherwise answer relatively quickly in a more relaxed setting. I'm aiming for at least a 170, and it's feeling like a less attainable goal because of my anxiety even though this is the best I've ever been in regards to the actual content of the exam.
Does anyone have any tips on not panicking or learning to relax while taking the test? This would also be my first time taking it in a test center rather than remotely which I'm worried my alter my general state of mind.
Thanks for your help!

to be honest, being in a testing center helped me calm down. everyones there, going through exactly what u are going through, taking the same test under the same conditions. what helped me was disregarding the timer, which i know is hard and easier said than done. think of it this way. you take ur time on 20 questions and have to rush through the last 5, ur more likely to get more right, rather than if u rushed on all 25/26 questions.
and rmbr, none of us are relaxed taking this test lolll. its ok to be a little stressed out, dont let ur stress define u and take control of ur score. you put in this work, youre going to conquer this and MAKE IT UR B#TTCHHHH
I do a ritual of a few deep breaths using the 4-7-8 technique before I start the test and after I come back from the intermission!
Get accommodations. It's pretty easy.
Also, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND L-Theanine. L-theanine is a natural plant chemical. It is an amino acid found mostly in green tea, black tea, and some mushrooms. It helps your brain relax. It makes you feel calm and focused without making you sleepy.
My doctor recommended it for my anxiety and it helps a lot.
@Shardison I can spot a few flaws in your argument....
@Peter888 😭 I copy and pasted the definition of L-theanine from online don’t hate me. Also easy is a blanket word which would mean many different things based on the perception of the word to each individual. I don’t see too many flaws here .
