Hi! So, I'm doing really well on my BRs and untimed drills (even shorter, timed drills I'm doing well on). Not getting the scores I ultimately want, but getting pretty close. Unfortunately, that doesn't translate to my timed PTs. I'm getting 9 points less in the timed environment :/ its pissing me off. Does anyone have any advice about bridging the gap between timed sections and untimed? Is it just taking more timed PTs/sections?

Hi!
My name is Asma, and I’m a tutor here at 7Sage!
A 9-point gap between your BR and timed score usually tells me that you understand the material, but something is happening when the clock is running. Since you’re doing well on shorter timed drills, the next step is to slowly work up to full timed sections, and then try doing two sections back-to-back. That way, you can build up your stamina and get used to the timing in a manageable way.
When you review, try to notice exactly what changed for you under timed conditions. Did you feel rushed, misread something, spend too long on a tough question, or second-guess yourself and change answers? Pinpointing these patterns will help you see what’s really causing the gap between your BR and timed scores.
The good news is that your BR score shows you already have the reasoning skills you need. Now it’s just about making that reasoning show up more consistently when you’re working under time pressure.
Best,
Asma
@Asma thank you!
