Underperformance advice

Feeling a bit lost and looking for advice...

I took the LSAT for the first time in August and received a 167.

Of course, that is a great score, but I was really hoping for at least a 172 (with 174 as my overall goal, potentially, but I was not necessarily expecting to get that on my first try). I was already registered for September before the score release, and I also registered for October.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice, particularly if I should take September. My worry is that I haven't studied much since the last test — will taking another test so soon after I scored below my goal be a recipe for disaster? Any other advice/ words of encouragement would be appreciated. I was really hoping to apply this cycle, so definitely feeling a bit dismayed.
