I just finished the LR learning lessons! Should I now: do LR drills every day? Start taking timed practice tests, including RC section? Take untimed practice tests? Take untimed or timed LR sections only while I do RC curriculum, then take full practice tests? What approach is best? I will be beginning the RC curriculum, but want to make sure I'm still regularly engaging with LR so as to not lose those skills.

Hi! Congrats on finishing the LR lessons! While you work through the RC curriculum, I recommend keeping LR fresh by practicing it about three days a week. Focus on targeted drills for the question types that give you trouble, and try to do one timed LR section each week. That way, you’ll keep building your pacing and won’t lose the progress you’ve made.

I wouldn’t jump into taking full practice tests every day, and I wouldn’t recommend doing whole tests untimed either. Untimed work is best for drilling specific question types and really digging into tough questions. After each LR drill or timed section, take some time to review every question you missed or felt unsure about. Make sure you understand exactly why each wrong answer is wrong.

This way, you’ll keep building your RC foundation and keep your LR skills sharp, without putting yourself in a position where you’re testing on material you haven’t fully learned yet.
