Hi! I'm looking for a tutor to help me get prepared for the October test. I took the August test and got a 163. Before that, my practice tests were closer to 165 with my best test being 168. I'm hoping to hone in on RC and timing issues and get closer to a 168 in October.

I can definitely help you! With an August score of 163, practice tests around 165, and a high of 168, the ability to reach your October goal is already present. The key is determining exactly what is creating the RC timing problem as well as the overall lack of consistency.
I would suggest that we start by isolating your approach to reading the RC passages. Small revisions to your reading technique can result in large differences in both reading time and accuracy. We would also examine how you go about answering the questions.
My RC approach focuses on reading the passage one sentence at a time while building a clear understanding of its Big Picture, without trying to memorize or control every detail. We would then apply very high standards to the answer choices while committing to acting as quickly as we can (I call it "getting in and getting out") so that you can make decisions more efficiently without sacrificing accuracy.
And there may still be points on the table for LR as well. We'd take a look at the stats and trends and follow up on any leads.
