Hi! Trying to understand exactly how the 10 minute intermission works in the prometric test center, can anyone who has taken before confirm?

Finish section 2 —> intermission screen pops up automatically —> walk out of room, tell proctor you are on break when you pass them at the door —> go to the bathroom or locker to get a snack, but don’t touch phone —> go back to proctor and they check you in? —> re-enter room —> click Continue to Step 2 button as soon as 10 minutes is up? Right before 10 minutes is up? —> proctor completes another check-in process?? —> once proctor checks you in section 3 automatically begins?

Hey i took the August LSAT and in between the first 2 sections you have a minute break so they make you sit there. For the 10 minute break you just quietly put down everything and walk out. There was a person by the door for me so they just let me out. You can get a snack and go to the bathroom just please watch the clock because there is no one telling you how much time you have left. They will do a quick check in process so give time for that too. The test will auto start if you don't make it back in time. Hope that helps!

i got up and out, grabbed my snack in front of the proctor, they signed me out, and i went to the bathroom. then i came back and ate my snack. walked back in, checked a bunch of boxes confirming i didn't do anything wrong, and continued.

some testing centers may make you sign yourself in and out which is annoying.

and you need to have your ID on you

I took the september LSAT yesterday. When you finish the 2nd section you just bring your ID to the desk outside the test room and tell them your on break. Mine had a clock outside but just make sure to keep track of your timing so you don't come back late because it will automatically start. When you come back they will scan you again and then lead you to your desk again. Once you press ready on the screen, you will check a few boxes that you did in the beginning to verify that you didnt use your phone etc. and then the next section pops up and you click start!
