😪 Sad

Feeling so discouraged

I did my Sept 2026 LSAT and the first two sections felt great. Then after the break there was a HUGE technical error and I got kicked out after FULLY reading passage 2. The technical error lasted about 40 minutes and then we got placed right back where we were - so I had to

1) catch up on the reading because after 40 minutes it becomes foggy

2) Answer all the questions with the passage

3) do this in probably 4 minutes to keep on track of my timing.

To say the least I was freaking out. The testing centre was confused and it was just a mess. I finally get my anxiety calmed down and go to passage 3 - WHICH I GOT KICKED OUT AGAIN FOR 40 MINUTES. This is where it started to go downhill, shes crying in the test centre, doesn't know if i will finish the test and also has things to do which did not account for a 2 hour delay. Once i finally got back i was in the last section - which people were leaving at this point and it was very distracting. Anyways, I got approved for a retest date but i am feeling DEFEATED. I am working so much now and have to retake the test in 8 days – ugh.

Need motivation to start studying again for 8 more days while I work 7 of them leading up to the test 😔

(also this is my 3rd time taking the LSAT and first time I had felt confident going in)

I am sorry to hear the load of trouble you had on your big day, it is truly unfortunate :( But it is more important during time like this to not be discouraged!! You can't change what had happened but you change your perspective on it. Having read your post, I can think of a few ways to see it as less of a misfortune:

    1. You are even more familiar with the test center environment/procedures now!

    2. You got a few extra reps in during the test!!

    3. You got more time to study!!!

What you studied so hard for will not magically disappear in the next 8 days. You are only better than you were from this experience so DO NOT let it affect you!!

Not sure if that what you needed to hear but I hope it helped!! You got this!! Wish you the best of luck in 8 days!!

@QB No problem!! My first official test is in November! I actually am not aware of the tech difficulties going around. Was there any other tech difficulties that stood out to you and would you recommend a tour at the test center prior to the test date?

@Kyle180 No I think you'll be fine. tHis is my third go around at this and I have never experienced it. I think LSAC was just having some issues - its not test centred related at alll

@QB I bet so. If it makes you feel better, I was signed up for the Sept LSAT and withdrew on my own will bc I thought I wasn't ready to take it again then scored the best I have ever scored yesterday. I have been beating myself up nonstop about it. but I've been reminding myself that I wasn't supposed to take that test for some reason and the next one will go very well!

I will be thinking of you. What day is it scheduled for? I will put a note on my calendar to manifest for you.

I also had problems on the September test and felt so defeated. I also have to retest. You’ve already been approved for Sept 22? I haven’t heard back yet.

@Aquamoon I got approved yesterday! check your LSAC they give you your eligibility ID even before you hear back from them personally.

@QB thanks. I heard back yesterday and was approved too. They can’t guarantee I won’t have the same problems unfortunately. They won’t say what they have or haven’t done to fix the technical issue I experienced. And there are no in-person testing options to accommodate my needs.
