Hi everyone! I’m looking for some advice on how to structure my LSAT studying over the next year.
My diagnostic score was a 130, and after learning some fundamentals (2–3 months of studying), I scored a 140 timed, and a 150 untimed. I’m planning on taking the LSAT next year for Fall 2028 admission, and my goal score is a 165.
I’m subscribed to 7Sage, and I also recently purchased The Loophole.
For anyone who has done a long-term, one-year LSAT prep plan, what would you recommend? How would you structure the year in terms of learning the fundamentals, drilling, timed sections, PTs, and review?
I’m just trying to get an idea of what a realistic one-year plan to get to a 165 could look like. Any advice is appreciated!

Hi! I didn’t do a year long study, but I do have tips! First of all, make sure you take breaks and don’t go too hard, especially with a year of studying.
You want to have causal and conditional reasoning down as well as possible. I believe conditional reasoning is the one that people struggle with more often.
Dedicate time to each LR question type, especially the types that come up most, like Flaw. MBF, parallel, and parallel flaw won’t come up as often, so I’d only scrutinize these if you have everything else nearly perfected.
Start reading non-fiction books in your leisure time. This will help with RC! Learn to pick out the main point and authors opinion in passages. It is no longer a guarantee to get a comparative passage on the LSAT RC section, but it’s still very possible, so don’t avoid them!
Good luck!
Thank you so much!!
