I take the test this Saturday and I'm nervoussss.

I started studying in May/June. My cold diagnostic was a 149, and in early September, I was up to a 163 and BR around a 174.

I took kind of a long break of about 2 weeks. I was getting everything ready for my last year of school and trying to give myself some time to myself. I took a PT this last weekend after my break and scored a 159 and it kinda tanked my confidence.

I really don't want to take another year before applying, as I'd have to work and study, which I did this summer and I hated it, so now I'm feeling super nervous as this is kind of my "one shot" as I've never taken the test before.

Is there any advice y'all could give me about nerves? How did everyone focus on over-performing on test day? I'm going to take one more full PT before my test (probably today) but I'm feeling hella nervous since I want to go to a T30 and end up in NYC.

But good luck to all of us!!!!! :)

Hey! First of all, jumping from a 149 to a 163 is huge. That’s a ton of progress. Getting a 159 after a break? It might be because you are a little out of practice. One score doesn’t erase all the work you’ve put in.

Don’t stress about over-performing or thinking Saturday is your only chance to prove yourself. That just piles on pressure you don’t need. Just stick to what you’ve practiced: read carefully, skip the tough ones if you need to, and keep your focus on the question right in front of you.

If you want to take another practice test, just use it to run through your routine. It’s not a crystal ball for Saturday. If seeing a lower score might mess with your head, just do a timed section instead. After that, keep things light, get some good sleep, and make sure you’ve got all your test-day stuff ready so you can relax a bit.

Thank you so much! That really helps. I did another practice test and got my highest score yet just by relaxing and running through what I know. I'll try to keep this in mind on Saturday. :)
