@phi Thank you!! That’s super helpful! I do sometimes take the full four sections haha but not as often as I probably should. Thanks so much!

Where to go from here?

I went from a 149 in May on PT140 to a 162 yesterday on PT143 and I am ecstatic!

I'll be working on endurance in the coming months as I prepare to take the October exam (currently focusing just on the actual scored sections, but exp is next), but I'm wondering where I should continue next. I am super proud & motivated with my progress as I started seriously studying last month, but I want to keep up the motivation and focus up.

What else can I focus on? Should I be drilling, doing sections, reviewing, reading more? I've been finding that I struggle far more on recent RC than earlier RC passages.

Thanks!! 7sage has been so helpful for me the past month and I am so excited about the future!

@KenickieHenderson Thank you!! Thats helpful! I've been struggling with conditional reasoning and quant/diagram the most.

I'm not sure if this will be helpful for you, but with RC for myself, I often skim the passages first. I don't read it word for word when I'm doing a skim, then I move onto the questions. Like for what a certain word is used for, or what purpose a sentence serves, you don't need to read the entire thing to get an idea of what the word "hypothesis" is being used for. It's dependent on the surrounding sentences most of the time, not the surrounding paragraphs.

Then, if I'm still struggling on an answer, or it needs something broader, like the summary, I'll read it a bit more thoroughly. However, a lot of questions, at least when we're going for timing, don't need for you to read the entire passage! This is why the search function is so awesome. If you're doing a comparative passage, and it's asking you what was mentioned in both passages, just use the search function. It should cut down a lot of your time if you're not using it.

I still love & use the highlight feature, but I don't have a method for it necessarily. I just highlight what stands out to me.

Some people recommend reading it and trying not to go back to the passage while doing the questions. That definitely works for some people, but it doesn't really work for me. Everyone is different for sure, but this is what works for me and my RC accuracy has gone from -10 to -3. :)

How can I improve my accuracy?

I've been studying for around a month now and I got my PT scores up from a 149 to a 156, and have drastically improved my RC from -10 to -3/-4. I'm feeling super motivated about RC, but struggling with LR a lot more!

I find that I'm doing incredible on drills, with almost 100% on my last 10 or so, but when it gets to doing sections, my scores are dropping to -6, and on PTs, its going down to -9.

What's the best way for me to improve this accuracy? I'm only really struggling with the difficult questions at the end of the section, or making small, stupid mistakes due to misreading. I'm aiming for a 170+ by October, so I'm not sure if my accuracy goal with LR is even possible, but considering my improvement in RC I'm feeling confident.

Thanks in advance!
