Also, you might want to ask your friends and family if they have a room that fits the criteria better. I asked around, and a few different people were willing to let me use a room for a couple of hours.
You can cover things with blankets and sheets!
I totally hear you! In my case, I took it while I was living in a college dorm. I asked my roommate to stay out for an hour, moved all my books into one corner, and literally covered them with a blanket! I closed the window blinds, and for any uncovered glass, I just taped up blank sheets of paper.
