Hi,

With the October test results out, I am writing to gain advice and further feedback on how to go about my studies.

I have been studying for an year and started with 140 diagnostic skills. I did the core courses, went to a LSAT academy, received some tutoring and was confident that I could score at least above 150 in April and took the test and got a 149. It was a disappointing score since by that time, I had been studying for 6 months.

Then, I went back to the LSAT academy, did my fundamentals again, went through all the basics of each question type and was seeing growth in the number of questions I got right.

I started to do PTs and prepared for the October LSAT.

Then I realized that timing was a big issue for me and I would get 150s during PTs but 170s during BR.

Thankfully, my speed slowly increased and one week before the October test, I got a 160 in my PT and 178 for BR.

I thought I was ready for the LSAT and sat for the October test and hoped to get at least a 160. There were a few questions towards the end of each section that I had to guess since I was out of time. RC was hard for me but LR, I thought I did pretty okay.

But this morning, when I saw the 152, I cried. This was something I did not expect.

Not sure what I am doing wrong and not sure in which direction I should proceed my studying:(

I am registered for the November LSAT and flew all the way from the Korea to take this test and I feel utterly lost.

I would really appreciate some advice from people who were able to overcome similar problems like me and how you all were able to overcome this challenge and get the score that you want.

Thank you in advance for your responses!

I just want to say I sadly saw a drastic drop in my score so I feel you. At least with timing what helped me was increasing the time I had on sections, 40 min for example and then lower it to 39, 38 and so on. I was finsihing sections with little no impact on score in a week. I think based on your BR that practice in the timing is the most important thing to do. Also, I just want to make sure I read correctly that your score went from a 140 to a 160! 20 points is no joke, heck even 12 points is not joke! You should be very proud!

@Garrett_dom Thank you so much! I should try doing that! Hopefully I can fix this problem by November!
