@smoleary you will do great!! I was scared to take it in november and didnt feel prepared but i walked in calm and did well. I'm retaking because I want a higher score, just know that you can ALWAYS push registration to august (which is still before fall 2027 apps open anyway) and give yourself more time. You got this easy!!!
@AubreeRoach I just took the February LSAT and taking again in April. I am regrouping and starting with foundations and working up through the module. I just dove right in on practice tests and live zoom classes until the last week when I started the foundations. I highly recommend starting at the beginning and not do what I did thinking you could figure it out along the way. Sure I figured out a lot, but just working through this foundations, I am mindblown!!
What are some recommended methods for engaging with the video lessons? Is there an effective way to take notes, should I make flashcards or a mind map? Should I do active recall after a chunk of lessons? I want to set an effective and sustainable routine before I start!
On my diagnostic I got a 146. I plan on taking it in June, could I get a 165+ by that time with consistant studying. I also work 50 hours a week so I'm nervous
@jadestudies I got a 147 on my diagnostic in jan 2025 and sporadically studied (with a partner that did not like that i was studying which made it harder lol) from jan to march, stopped studying until july, and crammed until november and got a 162. TLDR: definitely possible as long as you stay consistent and dont take breaks like i did lol!! and also dont have a partner that doesnt support u and ur dreams :)
@Ryo I don't want to rule it out, since some people have made that kind of improvement in that time frame. But the vast majority of people looking for a 25+ point improvement will require at least 6 months. And if you're talking about the upper 170s, keep in mind a jump from high 160s to 175+ itself could take a few months. So I'd plan on studying for a year if you're dead set on 175+. If you get there faster, then great. But it's good to have a longer time frame in mind so you don't get disappointed when it doesn't happen quickly.
Got a 154 on the diagnostic PT test from LawHub. Just starting studying today. How realistic is it to go from a 154 to a 165? I plan on taking the LSAT test in August-September.
@OmarAbuaita I asked this question after getting a 157, getting to a 165 should be possible within 3 months of good studying from what I was told. Considering we basically got the same score, I think you can probably get into the 170s in that timeframe.
Should I spend time reviewing the diagnostic before continuing with anything else in the CC, or is the diagnostic intentionally revisited at a later point in the program? At this point, I'm not sure reviewing the diagnostic by myself is going to be very productive.
Is it a legitimate worry that drilling 'burns' clean questions on future PTs? I have heard that and I was wondering to what extent it is true and how to optimize studying for both. Thank you!
@dreph25 You should be fine. We set the defaults to make sure we've reserved enough clean PTs for you. You can see (and change) the settings here: https://7sage.com/users/settings/preptests

I got a 143, could I get a 175+ in a couple of months?

Question should I drill first then go in PT?

Exciting.
Cannot afford subscription - is this still a viable resource or would it make more sense to utilize other resources as well to supplement this one?
@RadhaLahiri If you have a fee waiver from LSAC, you can get a subscription for $1/month. Just have to send the proof to 7sage
I did a diagnostic test from the LSAC website. Is there a way to import my results or would I need to take the PT again on this platform?
@CristinaMarquez Yes, you can import in your settings.
@J.Y.Ping Thank you

@wickedsplitter BOTH. The diagnostic gives you a base to go off of for what your strengths and weaknesses are.
Do you recommend taking a first diagnostic PT before tackling the lessons?
@AlyaElalaoui Yes, because it'll help the study scheduler know how much of the Core Curriculum to recommend.
Thats good!
