when making multiple hypotheticals like he often does in the videos, when I am using pencil and paper do I make these two "Main" diagrams with the 2 hypothetical situations (IE: P must go in either spot 3 or spot 1), then erase when I am done with a certain hypo for a question? I hope I am clear, I think i worded this terribly

Hey there! When you split your "main" game board into two sub game boards, only the two sub game boards are on your page. P3 or P1, in your example. Those two sub game boards become, jointly, your "main" game board. You don't touch those for your questions. If you need to, you write out separate sub game boards for individual questions.
