Hi, I am reading Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman and he's talked about "conjunction fallacies" and "base rate fallacies" which are reminding me of some lsat questions I've seen before in logical reasoning. Does 7sage cover these fallacies at all in any explanation videos? They're definitely trickier than standard source attack or equivocation fallacies, and they are hard to understand sometimes. It seems like you need to know Bayes theorem to fully understand some of these concepts and I don't have any background in statistical math or probability theory

Hey all,

I am currently signed up for the January LSAT. Recently, I've been stuck at the mid 150's score range for PTs, and I was wondering if you all had any tips that could get you out of a rut? I am aiming for 160+. Currently, I am just using the drill builder and attacking it from there..

Thanks!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello,

This isn't much of a technical problem but I was wondering if there's some way to reverse cancelling the Core membership. I cancelled mine but have decided I want to keep it for a few months. It expires Dec 12 and there's no button to reverse or re-subscribe for another month of the Core membership. I'm worried that if I let it expire then it'll get rid of all my PT data.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Thank you!

So I’ve been using 7sage for a few months now, since August. While using it, I was scoring 153-158 in between those scores, and my blind review has been on the higher end in the 156-158 range. I decided to try the LR Loophole just to give myself a new perspective and i was only studying that this month and I thought it would’ve helped, but I just took a practice test and score a 151. I feel extremely discouraged, and that I wasted my time but I also think it could be that it was a lot of material that I covered this entire month and I neglected reading comprehension. I was planning on taking the January test with a goal of 160+ but now I’m not so sure. Does anyone know how to deal with this and what to do to improve? Also, should I still take the January exam with my goal score or push it to February but I think it’ll be too late for applications? I think I’m just going to switch back to 7sage because I was doing better.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share my LSAT journey in hopes of encouraging others, especially those balancing life’s many challenges.

I took my first diagnostic in Spring 2023 and scored a 144 (Logic Games absolutely crushed me). My circumstances were unusual—I had been released from prison in 2022 after nearly a decade. While studying, I was juggling multiple jobs, full-time school, volunteer work, and rebuilding my life.

I started with books and Khan Academy before purchasing 7Sage when I could afford it. Without a clear plan, I meandered through the syllabus and struggled to balance studying with life. In June 2023, I scored a 154—lower than my practice test average.

Over the summer and into Fall 2023, I studied sporadically without structure, focusing too much on timed practice tests rather than mastering the material. In October, I scored a 158, applied to schools, and was waitlisted at two great ones. Inspired by these experiences, I decided to retake the test after graduating college in May 2024.

In July 2024, I started fresh with a more systematic approach:

  • Logged 400 hours of study from July to November.
  • Completed the 7Sage curriculum with detailed notes.
  • Focused on understanding concepts, not just timing.
  • Limited myself to one PT per week until two weeks before test day, then increased to two PTs per week. I also incorporated untimed sections for review. This was key because in my first study cycle, I exhausted most recent prep tests, forcing me to focus on older material and partial sections.
  • Made flashcards to memorize question types and strategies—something I skipped during my first cycle.
  • Mentally mimicked J.Y.'s testing methods and watched videos of him providing commentary while taking tests.
  • By the end of this cycle, I averaged 164-168 on PTs and scored a 169 on test day.

I’m in my early 30s, married, working, attending religious school, and volunteering. Reaching this score came down to discipline, completing the syllabus, and mastering strategies.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, know that improvement is possible with the right plan and mindset.

Feel free to ask any questions—I’m happy to help!

    LSAC Subscription

Keep getting this message: "Sorry, your account must be linked to an active LSAC LSAT LawHub Advantage account to access licensed materials. Link your account to continue your access.

You successfully linked 7Sage to your LSAC account, however your LSAC account does not have an active LawHub Advantage subscription. IS this something I have to buy as well? Does anyone know any way to get around it???

I got a 169 and have already gotten several A's from schools... so far no WL or rejections so fingers crossed! I went from 157 to 169 over a LONG period of time (I'm just a slow learner and was working a little more than full time while studying). Not many scholarship offers in yet ( several schools are saying that comes later? not sure how this all works. I'm first gen)

Thank you to 7S for their incredible answer bank and tutorials on games.

Thanks to all the commenters who left their approaches underneath the videos. With your help I'm gonna be able to graduate law school with much less debt -- who knows, maybe even none-- than I ever imagined.

    study buddy!!

hii im currently looking for a study buddy or study group to motivate each other and help learn new ways to approach problems! im in the pacific time zone, don't have discord and taking the january lsat. looking forward to connecting w you!

Hi Guys, Im looking to start a group for people who are taking the february LSAT and are looking for others who want to help keep each other accountable and have people to talk about the test about. I know this can be a very isolating process but I'd love to create a group of extremely motivated an ambitious people who can all help each other and motivate each other to do great on the test.

So I just made a custom drill of PT 130 S2 with all the RC passages in it and I'm currently reviewing my answers. I have attempted this section before. After getting my results I would click "Ques" under the Explanation tab on the right hand side, but I'm noticing a discrepancy between the drill results and the questions listed under the explanation video as there are results under there too. For example, in the drill review results it's indicating I missed Q5, but upon opening the explanation video the results under the video says I got that question right. And it's happening for a few other questions. I'm unsure if this is an actual problem or if it's just showing me the results from the last time I drilled this section? I can't tell as neither of them are dated. It's confusing me as even the timing report differs for example, in the drill it states I picked an answer within 18 seconds and the explanation video says it took me 47 seconds. Are these just results from two different dates of taking the same drill?

    Buttons missing

Hi, just wondering if this is happening to anyone else or if this is a me problem? The buttons seem to be missing on the practice windows - the drills and preptests. Both on the actual practices and on the review page. Like they are still there, you can click on something, but the icons are missing so you have to guess where to press.

    Feeling Discouraged

Hey chat, just here to vent.

I'm just feeling discouraged. I feel like my brain is not making the connections needed. I know its a learning curve, but this learning curve is effing steep. I work a 8-5 and alongside from going to the gym, college and personal responsibilities, I tend to study for an 1hr - hour and a half a day for what is usually 4-6 days a week.

I took it for the first time in April of 2023 and got a 143 on the first exam (I only gave myself 2 months to study back then... a bit delusional on my end). I procrastinated and was doing studying on and off until I started to be consistent in September of this year. I feel like mentally I have gotten nowhere for the exam (besides having MC & a bit of MSS questions down).

I know this exam isn't impossible to learn and I can do it, but I just feel like the consistency I put in isn't giving me the results I'm seeking. It might just be mental exhaustion on my end since I only have time to study after 8 or 9pm. How does anyone else deal with discouragement from the LSAT? I plan to apply next cycle and I pushed my test date from February to April earlier this week (maybe that's also feeding into the discouragement? lol).

    Any advice is appreciated (3(/p)

    HI all,

I'm planning to work really tight for June Lsat. I don't work nor do nothing else other than preparing for LSAT for now. It would be great to have someone to study with. I really hope to finish this test by June...! So anyone want to study full time for Lsat together for roughly two months, please PM me!

I'm living in West New York, the west side of NJ. I can go up to around Fort lee, or go down to Jersey city or NewPort or other areas about half an hour driving away.

I dont prefer but if I have to, I can go to the city as well.

or others who want to do PT together from time to time, please PM me.

Is working as a paralegal before law school guaranteed to provide more satisfaction with the law school experience than someone who just goes in without having worked in a law firm or any type of legal work? can someone break down any misconceptions about this or speak on if working first in the field is smarter than someone who does not?

    Are you sure?
