Hi everyone, hope your studying is going well!
I just finished the Foundations section and the Main Conclusion section of 7sage. Is this a good time to start taking practice tests? Should I wait until I get further into the LR study section before beginning to take practice tests?
Would love to hear what you all think and what has worked for you!
@NicoleIhens Hi! I was also really thrown off with the artwork + well-designed relationship at first, but figured it out so I hope I can help.
The last three conditional links are correct, but the first two (artwork and well-designed are not).
You wrote: artwork --> well-designed
In English this translates to - If the public space has artwork, then it is well-designed. You are suggesting that it is a requirement (necessary) for a public place that is well-designed to have artwork.
But the stimulus is not saying that it is a requirement. It says Most well-designed public places feature artwork. The Lawgic translation would be the following:
well-designed --m--> artwork
Keep in mind, the "most" arrow is not bi-directional (not reversible).
So while we can say that most well-designed public places feature artwork, we cannot say most public places featuring artwork are well designed.
In summary, I think where you went wrong was confusing the quantifier "most" for a conditional relationship. This usually happens to me when I focus too much on trying to create a conditional chain, and end up skipping over the specific language in the stimulus.
Luckily, the correct answer choices focused on this relationship:
well-designed --> comfortable --> spacious
Which is why you got the correct answer!
I hope this helped :)
