I definitely had this issue too at first - honestly the best advice I can give is just drilling tons of science passages. Once you read enough science passages you get a feel for the general flow, they stop being as menacing, and they feel more like other passages. I've heard some people recommend things like reading science journals, but nothing will be as close to an LSAT science passage as an LSAT science passage.

@CMas because the author is saying that the interests of the defendant and the interests of the court are aligned - the author thinks that "the lawyer's obligation to the court and to society also ultimately benefits the defendant."

Late reply here, but I think you are misunderstanding the question. The question is about what the passage as a whole suggests about the case discussed in the third paragraph. What the passage as a whole suggests about the case could come from anywhere in the passage.
