@Jessievitarelli @Glocke you can set your timing accommodations in the preferences menu. It will adjust the timing for your study scheduler drills. Go here: https://7sage.com/users/settings/preferences

@JJLLe I hear you. I've made another discussion forum post to ask other people what they think: https://7sage.com/discussion/57855/should-study-schedule-drills-auto-start

Feel free to weigh in there as well.

Should study schedule drills auto-start?

When you click a drill in your study scheduler, do you need to be able to adjust the settings before you start?

EDIT: We heard you loud and clear. We've reverted this change!

New feature: scholarship predictor

We've built a new scholarship predictor to pair with our admissions predictor! The feature is still in beta, so tell us what you think in the comments.

If you've already received scholarship offers, I encourage you to add your results, link to your profile, and tell us how the scholarship predictor did. The more results we see, the more we can improve this feature.

Try the scholarship predictor now.

May you all get high scores and big scholarships!

Decisions are rolling in! Make sure you're logging them so you're eligible for the drawing in June.

@smcat @pamelajkok Any thoughts on how recalculate would work? E.g., should the schedule stay unchanged for everything up to the present day (the day you push "Recalculate") or should we only "keep" the stuff you've completed in the past? And what should we do about the the fact that you have less time to do complete all your work—push your study plan end date back or throw out lessons that seem less important?

How do you want to customize the study scheduler?

I've heard from roughly everybody who has ever used the study scheduler that they want more customization—but how, and why? Start with the problem you are trying to solve—e.g., "I get behind schedule," or "I don't want to do the PT that the study scheduler picked for me because…" If possible, explain why the current functionality (e.g. changing your plan type or end date in study plan settings) doesn't cut it. Then suggest a solution.

Help us make it better for you!

Nightly and Daily Collaborative Study Session

We're holding daily / nightly small-group sessions at

The sessions will be student-led—no 7Sage staff will be in the meeting. The suggested activity is group drilling.

Independent tutors are welcome to participate.

PSA: If you show up first, please stick around. Your fellow 7Sagers will join you.

Get a better rate for your law school loans

Hey all, we're partnering with a cool new startup called Juno to try to make Law School more affordable. See below for a message from them.

----

If you’re planning to attend law school this fall and think you may need student loans, it may be worth joining the Juno Law School Loan Negotiation Group before May 1st.

Juno is a free platform that organizes students into large groups and negotiates with private lenders to secure lower interest rates. The idea is simple: when thousands of students come together, lenders compete to offer better terms.

Over the past 8 years, more than $1B in student loans have been negotiated through Juno, and thousands of graduate students, including law students, have used the platform to access discounted rates.

A few things to know:

  • Joining is free and takes about a minute to complete

  • There’s no obligation to take a loan

  • Rates are negotiated after the group closes, and members can compare offers before deciding

  • If Juno doesn’t beat the best rate you find elsewhere, they offer a Rate Match Program

Even if you’re still deciding how you’ll fund law school (federal loans, private loans, scholarships, etc.), joining the group simply gives you access to the negotiated rates once they’re finalized.

Join by May 1st to help negotiate the best rates possible!

If you want to learn more or join the group, use this link:

https://juno.us/7sage

Juno also has some great financial education resources for law students at https://joinjuno.com/resources/law including my favorite, the JD Budget and Loan Planner

If anyone has questions about how law school loans work or how the negotiation process works, feel free to ask below.

Did you find the grammar lessons helpful?

We're reviewing our curriculum, and I'd like to hear some candid feedback on 7Sage/s grammar lessons. Did you do them? Did you find them helpful? Did they improve your score?

@wylangao @superchillasian yes! We picked a winner randomly from the set of users who had been recently active. Next time we do something like this, we'll do the same, so you'll be entered as long as you're using the site.

@Danate I think it does for me. Can you take a picture or (better) a screen-capture video of what you're seeing?

Actually, there is a button repeat a drill. You'll find it on the bottom right of the results page after you finish a drill. It will give you a drill with the same settings or—if you chose your questions manually—the same questions.
