Remember that if two authors are at different points in the spectrum of support, that does not necessarily mean they disagree. For example, if one of them DOES NOT HAVE AN OPINION, and the other one IS AGAINST, that does not mean they disagree. FOR THEM TO DISAGREE, ONE HAS TO BE SITUATED IN THE "IN FAVOR" AND THE OTHER ONE IN THE "AGAINST" Part of the spectrum.
The Disney argument is stronger because it has the most support, 2 premises that explain the conclusion as an either or situation and a conclusion that must be true based on one of the 2 premises.
The tiger argument is not super strong because it is missing a premise that explains that Tigers are mammals or somehow connects the premise and conclusion in a stronger, closer bond.
The trash bin argument is not strong because it is based on a hypothesis that is not absolutely provable based on the evidence provided.
I got 3/5 in both tries. It feels a bit discouraging. I'm taking notes, practicing every day, and working hard on this. It's just difficult. Also, I'm an ESL person, so I know some things do not come up as easy, and sometimes I interpret some words the wrong way. Any recommendations for ESL people?
I'm more confused than when I started.
This is humbling. I got it wrong. I was down to C and D, and chose C. After reviewing it, I saw my mistake. It's good to learn! I hope I do not make this same mistake again! (I'm sure I will, but I hope to learn more and more with time and practice).
