🙃 Confused

Online degree...

Hi everyone- I am currently gearing up to apply to law schools, mainly in the NYC area, this upcoming cycle. I currently have an LSAT score in the 158-162 range and am hoping to submit a score of at least 163-165. For my undergrad, I have a 4.0 GPA from Excelsior University, a fully online school based in Albany, NY. I was wondering if anybody had any insight into how much this will impact my admissions chances at schools? Will it matter if i apply to schools that I am within their lsat median, or will I need to score a few points ovber medians to secure acceptances and hopefully scholarships?

The main schools i am currently targettng are: Cardozo, St. Johns, Brooklyn, NYLS, but would love to shoot higher if my LSAT permits me to do so. (fordham, nyu, columbia)

Any advice or answers people may have is appreciated, thank you all and best of luck!

Need Advice-Thank you!

Hi everyone. I started studying for the LSAT in February and scored a 149 on my first blind PT. I have been studying since then, having gone through most of the 7sages curriculum, and my most recent full PT, I scored a 158. I have been zeroing in on my LR over the past little while, and have kinda plateaued in the -6,-8 range, and haven't been able to get out. I am seeking any advice people may have for this. I have not watched any of the question type specifc videos 7sage has- is that stupid of me? I found a lot of early success just using common sense, but maybe it would pay to go back to those videos? If anybody has advice, please let me know!

I am an international applicant hoping to apply next cycle, so my only real chance is to take this test in June. I don't really have another option, so I gotta lock this in. Best of luck to everyone, you got this!!

you gave 2 methods to negate an all, yet on question one, when i did it one way, it just used the other and is telling me i am wrong.

for #4, why isn't the fact that they have 10 years of sheltering not kicked up to the domain?

Is it bad that I was only able to come to this answer via the process of elimination? Still can’t explain why E is the answer, it was just so painfully clear that the others were wrong.

Got 'em all right, but 1 took me almost 6 mins, is that a bad thing, or can it be fixed with a lot more time and practice?

I dont understand how one can get the first unless conclusion given i the answer of example 3. If i got the second option it gave, will that serve me just as well when taking the actual LSAT, or do I need to figure out why I didnt get the first example as well?

I understand this general concept, but I keep messing up in in regard to the parentheses. Does anybody else keep making the same errors? Are these costly mistakes? If anybody has a trick to help w/ this please let me know!

Advice- anything is appreciated!

I have been going through the core curriculum, taking extensive notes, and drilling. For a couple of weeks, I have not seen much meaningful progress. Are there any indicators that I am indeed progressing? Do I need to spend time on the grammar section if I am not tripped up by the grammar, but rather by the tricks the questions are throwing my way?

So far have taken one PT before even knowing what the exam would look like, and scored a 149. I’ve been studying for about 1-2 hours a day for the past two weeks like a chicken without a head- no direction just watching the core curriculum videos and taking notes in a split screen. When drilling, the types of questions i answer correctly and incorrectly fluctuate, and there isnt really a pattern of any sorts.

I’m seeking any advice people found helpful from others, or something that people wish they knew when they started studying. Scrolling through these messages, Ive seen a ton of others get tremendously helpful advice- anything and everything is appreciated. Thank you all and best of luck on your Law School endeavors!

Can one say that "But this is not a sustainable, long term solution." in question 5 is a sub conclusion/major premise?
